Jones to the Colts?
Bears GM Jerry Angelo reacted to an ESPN.com report linking the Indianapolis Colts to RB Thomas Jones. Jones, one of only 2 NFL RBs to account for over 35% of his team's total offense in both 2004/2005, recently hired agent Drew Rosenhaus last week. Hmmm... and he's also skipping voluntary team workouts. "We have not initiated contact," Angelo said. "If you hear someone say they talked to me it's because they have my number." Indy has reportedly offered a 3rd round pick. However, Lovie Smith wants to keep both Jones and Cedric Benson: "The history is with Kansas City. I got a chance to see exactly what Kansas City did having a Pro Bowl running back [Priest Holmes] and a first-round draft choice [Larry Johnson]. They both played, they both were on the team and it worked itself out."
